Guru Rinpoche Thangka

He is the emanation of Buddha Amitabha and Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. He is considered the second Buddha after Shakyamuni Buddha. This great sage conquered all demons and heretical paths to establish Vajrayana Buddhism in Tibet and is renowned as the primordial immutable protector.

He promised that for every Buddha that arises, there will be one billion incarnations of Padmasambhava to save sentient beings everywhere. Anyone who is devoted to him and recites the Seven-Line Prayer will sleep at their doorstep to protect and guide them to enlightenment.

In the northwestern borderlands of Orgyen,

Born from the pistil of a lotus flower,

The supreme Buddha state, you achieved,

Renowned as the Lotus-Born One.

Surrounded by the retinue of Dakinis,

How to Preserve Thangka Paintings 

Store in a Dry and Cool Place: Avoid direct sunlight, keep in a low-humidity environment

Use Protective Glass: Framing with glass, regularly clean the glass

Store When Not in Use: Avoid folding or rolling the painting too tightly to prevent damage. If rolling, use a soft roll and acid-free paper for protection.

Use Protective Paper: Use acid-free paper to protect the front of the painting during storage or shipping.

Clean the Painting: Do not use chemicals or cleaning agents. Use a soft brush or dusting cloth to gently remove dust.

Avoid Water Exposure: Prevent contact with water or high humidity as it can damage or discolor the paper.

Maintain Optimal Conditions: Keep the painting in an environment with stable temperature to avoid paper contraction or warping.

Consider Protective Sprays: You may use acid-free protective sprays for additional protection, but test on a small area before applying to the entire painting.
